"4th of July Tumblers"

I made up these plastic tumblers for Alyssa to give out to her cousins on July 4th. I went ahead and got them ready because she will be leaving this weekend to go to her dad's through the 4th. I found the tumblers on clearance and the star ribbon in the $1 bin at Target. I included in each cup an American flag, a sticker strip, an activity pad, 4 crayons, bubblegum and a novelty necklace. I hope the kids like them!

"Howdy, Partner"

Today was Alyssa's first day of horse camp! This is definitely a first for us...she is usually cheerleading. We bought her a new pair of boots, a new 'horse' t-shirt and a riding helmet and off we went. This is a picture of her first thing this morning...all fresh and new to this. However, if you could have seen and smelled her this afternoon, it was a totally different picture! LOL Surprisingly, she was thrilled that she got to clean out horse stalls. She has the rest of the week to go, and I hope come Friday, she will be as happy, dirty and smelly as today!

"Decorative Alphas"

I got these white chipboard alpha letters at Hobby Lobby to decorate for two of my daughter's friends. I decorated each one with their name in rubons; favorite color flower and ribbon. They are going to hang them in their bedrooms. These were super easy to do!

Test Tubes

I ordered these plastic test tubes w/lids from Oriental Trade awhile back and they have been very easy to decorate and fill with candy. They have also turned out to be a cute and quick gift. I try to keep several decorated because they come in very handy on short notice.

"Princess Accessories"

Alyssa found these small lipgloss bottles with different princesses on them. I, of course, knew I was going to have to dress them up! So, I made 'card holders' for each. I decorated the outside with the matching princess on the lipgloss inside. I think they turned out cute and Alyssa loves them! They are going to make great quick gifts for her girlfriends! I've had several ask for directions and measurements for these, so I hope this makes sense. I cut my cardstock 3 1/2" by 6 1/2" and then scored it at the 3" mark and the 3 1/2" mark. I then creased the cardstock at those score marks, and with it still folded, I cut 2 slits between the 1/2" mark and the fold. I hope this helps!

"Monkey Business"

Ok...I promise my colors match better in person! I had to have this monkey and banana paper. You can't tell from my scan, but the top portion has bananas all over it Anyway, I knew I didn't have anything in mind for it when I bought it, but I loved it! So, I decided to decorate a small clipboard. I haven't done one of these in forever. (I don't even know if anyone still does these, or not) In real life, the yellow ribbon actually matches.

Saturday's Crop

I just wanted to give kudos to Jennifer for yesterday's crop. Even though she had just returned from vacation with her family late on Friday night, she was there bright and early Saturday morning to host our crop. Bless you!

"Thank You"

I made this quick thank you card for my friend, Jennifer. She hosts an all day crop every month at her church for all of us to get together and scrapbook and/or stamp. I always try and make her some type of small hostess gift each month to let her know how much I appreciate her efforts. Tomorrow is the crop and my goal is to get my daughter's soccer scrapbook done! We'll see. . .

Decorative Circle Tins

I found these tins in the clearance section at Target. They were labeled "photo canisters", but I knew I could do something else with them. The tops were clear, so I decorated them with patterned paper and blossoms, then I used E6000 to glue a post-it note pad on the inside. Oh, I forgot to mention, these canisters have magnets on the back, too -- so they are perfect to stick on refrigerators, filing cabinets, etc. I thought they would make nice little gifts!

Baby Tag Book

This is a baby boy tag book that I decorated for one of my mom's co-workers. The pages on the inside were white, so I covered each page with patterned paper and added baby embellishments. The big blue ribbon was already attached, so I tied blue and white ribbons on the spirals. I hope she likes it.

Band-Aid Tins

I found these character mini gel pen packs at the dollar spot in Target and knew I could do something with them. (However, I could kick myself for not buying all they had -- I only got a couple of packs.) Anyway, I decided to decorate these band-aid tins to hold the cute mini pens. I used patterned paper and character stickers for the outside, then tied matching ribbons on the handles. I am going to enclose the pens in a small cello bag and place down in the tins.

"Life As I Know It. . ."

Well, life as I know it changed yesterday! This is a picture of my dear daughter on her 1st day of cheerleading camp. (Please note that the photo was taken at home.) I took her to camp and was in the process of getting out of the car, with camera in hand, to stay and take pictures. (This is something that I have always done) However, I was stopped by my daughter and told that I could not stay. It would be too embarrassing and no other moms were staying. So....there it was! I was wrecked! There is, however, a positive note, her last day is tomorrow and I am going to be allowed to stay.

"Favorite Moment"

This is one of my older layouts, however, it is my all time favorite! I got this cute photo of my daughter, Alyssa, when we were on vacation and at our first Cardinal's baseball game. She is definitely my favorite moment!
I used Bazzill for the background, patterned paper from Sassafrass, rubons from DCWV & American Crafts and chipboard alphas from Heidi Swapp.

Soccer Coach Gift

I made this gift box as an end of season gift for my daughter's soccer coach. I took a paper mache box and painted it white, then mod podged soccer paper on each side. I stamped a soccer image from SU's "I Love Soccer" and matted it in the team colors before adhering to the box. I found a soccer sports notepad at the Dollar Tree and decorated a RSVP to match. I also added a box of candy, a soccer ball magnet and a bag of mixed nuts with a soccer topper.

Soccer Team Treats

I made these treat boxes as end of the season gifts for my daughter's soccer teammates. Each box contained a pencil, stickers, eraser, notepad, whistle, magnet and gumballs. I was able to stamp a soccer ball image randomly over the box and use soccer ribbon for the 'handles'. I then stamped each kid's name on the boxes. They were a big hit with the team!

"Teacher Gifts"

(First, I hope everyone will bare with me, I am very new at this 'blog' thing and this is my 1st post)

I made these magnetic, coaster, post-it note holders as gifts for my daughter's teachers for the last day of school. I pair each one with a matching RSVP pen. They were quick and easy, but turned out very cute!
